Fixed row or header in excel

Read how to fix a row or header in excel in this article.

On the menu bar, go to "image" and then click on "block." You'll see three options there.

Top row blocking

The second option in the list is used to block the top row in your tab. When you click it, you'll see a slightly thicker line appear and your top row is immediately blocked. No matter how far down you scroll, that row always remains visible. To turn the feature off, click the same button again.

First column blocking

To block not your first row but your first column, select the third option in the list. This ensures that your first column always remains visible, no matter how far to the right you scroll. Again, you'll see the slightly thicker line appear:

Blocking titles

If you want to lock multiple rows, or, for example, lock a row AND a column, you need the top option: lock titles.
With this function, you block the row and column based on the cell you currently have selected. In the example below, I click on cell C2 and click block titles. This will cause all rows above my cell and columns to the left of my cell to be locked.

Now no matter how far down or to the right I scroll, row 1 and columns A and B will always remain visible.
